I grew up in Southwest Connecticut in a small town outside Waterbury called Cheshire. Yes, it’s named after a town in England, as are many in New England. My paternal grandmother was nearly born on the Lusitania cruise ship, but for the early arrival of my father, which kept her from boarding the ill-fated vessel.

My husband and I have been married for over 30 years and have two children and 2 grandchildren with one more on the way.. Our family though small spans across 2 continents, the US and South Asia.

Here in the first photo above are three generations of my family. My late mother, my daughter, and me taken about 10 years ago.
